Backup Operational Leader (All Genders)

Your missions
The Backup Operational Leader will act as the secondary point of contact for both internal teams and customers in the absence of the Operational Leader. This role is designed to ensure seamless continuity in operations, maintaining project execution standards, and preserving customer relationships. The Backup Operational Leader is responsible for managing work packages, supporting team development, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards, and maintaining adherence to customer expectations and contractual commitments.

Regarding  the customer:
• Serve as the company’s representative in front of the customer when the Operational Leader is unavailable.
• Participate in customer meetings (eg Production Meeting ,PRMs, TRMs, and other customer meetings), ensuring clear communication and alignment on project progress and deliverables.
• Track and follow up on action items from customer meetings, ensuring they are completed on time, and with the required quality.
• Ensure the effective communication between the team and the customer, securing strong and professional relationships.[Reporting ,Tracking & Followup]


Regarding the work package(s):
• Support in managing one or several work packages, ensuring compliance with the contractual scope, safety, performance, and quality standards.
• Ensure team members have the necessary qualifications and certifications for their roles. Coordinate with TL/QM/HR/Quality to identify and address any gaps.
• Maintain clear documentation of activities using internal tools to ensure transparency and alignment with company protocols.[Reporting ,Tracking & Followup]
• Anticipate the required materials, tools, and PPE needed to support operations and collaborate with the relevant departments to ensure timely availability.
• Monitor resource allocation and ensure efficiency by aligning workforce capacity with the workload demands.
• Ensure all project activities stay within the agreed scope and immediately address any discrepancies.

Regarding the team:
• Oversee daily administrative tasks such as validating working hours, holidays, absences,
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, including compliance with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) regulations.
• Facilitate daily SQCDPF meetings and weekly Team meetings to ensure alignment and smooth team operations.
• Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring deviations are reported and corrective actions are applied when necessary.
• Manage weekly resource planning to ensure operational efficiency and address any team capacity issues.
• Act as the main point of contact for the team, addressing personal concerns, motivating team members, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive team dynamic.
• Organize weekly meetings to communicate activity progress, key milestones, resource plans, feedback, new processes, and ensure that meeting minutes are distributed to all participants.
Your profile
  • Good knowledge of the economical and aeronautical environment (customers and other stakeholders)
  • General aeronautical technological and technical knowledge 
  • Willing to adapt to and improve internal procedures
  • Good knowledge of the management methods in creating bonds within the team
  • Experience in management of production activities
  • Familiar with computer programs: MS Office programs, SAP, and Airbus internal tools
  • Fluent in English, German would be a plus
