The MAP Cabin Engineer is responsible for developing and approving solutions for aircraft non-conformities that require engineering expertise and delegated authority. This role specializes in a particular engineering area such as Aircraft Systems, Cabin, Electrical and Mechanical Installation, or structures, ensuring effective resolution of technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzing non-conformities identified during aircraft assembly, testing, and delivery, assessing their acceptability, and providing appropriate rework or repair solutions.
- Conducting design and stress assessments to justify the acceptability of rework or repair solutions.
- Developing long-term solutions for recurring non-conformities by recommending design or manufacturing improvements.
- Creating temporary aircraft definitions, such as technical notes or special instructions, to support operational testing.
- Performing aircraft safety assessments and providing delta endorsements for flight tests.
- Supporting aircraft delivery by offering technical justifications to customers.
- Assessment and answering of Concessions.
- Assessment and answering of NCs (Non-Conformities).
- Creation and answering of DQNs (Design Query Notes).
- Creation and answering of CSMs / ACSIs (Cabin Supplier Modifications / Airbus Cabin Specification Impacts).
- Creation of SIs (Special Instructions).
- Assessment and answering of QLBs / CLBs (Quality Log Books / Customer Log Books).
