Your missions

As a Project Leader in Manufacturing Engineering, you will be responsible for defining and optimizing manufacturing processes in the aerospace sector. The role includes tasks related to the industrialization of new programs as well as the continuous improvement of existing ones. You will participate in the preparation of technical offers and contribute to the training of junior engineers on key manufacturing engineering topics. The position also requires supporting the sales department during the prospection process by sharing relevant information and contacts. Occasional travel within Germany/worldwide may be required, depending on project needs.

• Assume the role of Project Leader overseeing Manufacturing Engineering projects specifically related to Aircraft manufacturing, within a dynamic aerospace industry.
• Manage and coordinate project execution, encompassing planning, coordination, and control.
• Take full responsibility for the project execution,ensuring adherence to defined timelines,budget constraints, and quality standards.
• Define project milestones, KPI's and reporting structures to ensure transparency and performance tracking.
• Foster close collaboration with customers, ensuring effective communication of project requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams and sales to prepare quotations and calculations for customers.
• Handle resource planning and quality management to ensure successful project execution.
• Monitor and track project phases, including reporting on a weekly basis.
• Manage complaints, implement risk management strategies, and lead project meetings.
• Be involved in strategic projects from offer phase to delivery.
• Lead, coordinate and develop multiple teams within the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) perimeter, fostering technical excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Support the professional development of team members, promote knowledge sharing across ME domains, and contribute to building a high-performing and sustainable ME organization.
• Travel may also be required to company outsourcing partner sites located in different parts of the world, depending on project and industrialization needs

Your profile

• Bachelor or Master's Degree in the field of Manufacturing and Aeronautical Engineering
• Technical Experience (~5 years): Solid hands-on experience in production environments (blue-collar background preferred), ideally with exposure to Manufacturing Engineering activities.
• Team & Client Management (~2 years): proven leadership experience, including managing cross functional teams and maintaining client relationships.
• Solid Knowledge/understanding of structured project management principles and methodologies.
• Knowledge of ME Methods & Tools:
  • Methods: WPR, industrial process design, industrialization, Jigs & Tools (J&T), time studies and calculation (e.g. PERT, MTM-STV Airbus).
  • Tools & Systems: SAP (PP/PM), PLM systems (Airina,Zamiz, TiCon, TAKSY, DocMaster/ECM), Delmia/Apriso, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office.
  • CAD/CAE: Proficient in CATIA V5; knowledge of SolidWorks or 3DX tools is a plus.
  • Additional Skills: Experience in FMEA, familiar with GD&T, basic FEA simulation, and metrology tools (e.g. CMM, laser tracker).
• Exhibit excellent written and spoken proficiency in English and German (C1 level). French being a plus.
• Work in an independent, structured, and result-oriented manner, with strong communication skills.
